Internet Explorer Blocking and Config Via Machine not user
Hi all,
Using Windows XP and Server 2003
Im at a bit of a loss and struggling to sort an issue out, wondering if anyone can help.
We use GPO to configure by user the Internet Explorer proxy settings, this of course works a treat! However some of the lovely children have found out that if you login to the system and while the machine is loading your preferences pull out the network cable it give you complete access to the local machine once loaded and the cable put back in!!!
We have 2 proxy servers one using the local authorities on minimal filtering and the other an internal censornet proxy, both work well together when polices are applied but by Default the MACHINE picks up on the local authorities and gives the kids access to more than they should get when it gets this local account.
Is there a way network wide I can set the proxy server to the internal one via the machine not user? but this also must allow me to change it when I logon temporarily should I need access to more sites?
Thanks hope ive explained this ok!
Steve
