    Lenovo Think Pad T400 / T410

Thinkvantage Access Connections, I have trawled Lenovos forums and done the

    1. Remove power management driver
    2. Remove hot key software
    3. Remove .Net Framework
    4. Remove Thinkvantage Access Connections ( on un installation I select remove all profiles / settings etc )

    Reboot

Re install all the above and reboot again and its still the same, I get a bunch of radio buttons and only the wireless radio button is enabled and I can create profiles but it doesnt allow me to connect using the sim card reader ie 3G , Edge etc

I have ensured all language profiles / preferences are correct , any suggestions / ideas ?

Qualcomm and access connect software / drivers are the latest as per lenovos download site

What carrier are you using? The ThinkAccess Connections software actually stuffs a lot of mobile isp's if you are using a 3g modem. It your ISP has it's own 3g connection software then download that and uninstall the Lenovo Access Connections stuff (you must do this for it to work) then install the isp's app.
For example, if you are using Vodafone you download their Mobile Boradband Connect software and use that once you have uninstalled the Lenovo stuff. It's very importnat you uninstall ThinkAccess as it will prevent your 3g modem working correctly.

No probs - with vodafone, tried the latest version of vodafone mobile connect ( now called vodafone mobile broadband which is version 10 and because the lenovos use an onboard sim card reader the vodafone software doesn't / can't detect or see it

I have a T400 with Qualcomm card, and the same setup in a previous ThinkPad. So long as you uninstall the Access Connections software and run off the Vodafone package you'll be fine.
