Winsuite and Virtual Pc
Hi there. I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a Win2k Server running Virtual pc 2004. Basically it is going to be a testbed of sorts for all the different systems I have to support. CC3, winsuite etc.. and I have come across a problem. I have created my working virtual pc and it is running Server 2k but when I try install winsuite onto it then it comes up saying that Winsuite Enterprise edition can only be installed on to a Windows 2000/2003 server. Any ideas?

Re: Winsuite and Virtual Pc
Are you running Windows XP in the Virtual PC?
It sound like you need to be running a virtual instance of a server operating system if you want to run WinSuite in the VM.

Re: Winsuite and Virtual Pc
Ahh, I might have made a schoolboy error here by forgetting to apply the service pack to the virtual pc. Let me try that and I'll let you know how it goes.

Nope. Tried that and it is still giving me the same errors. Any other suggestions?

Re: Winsuite and Virtual Pc
Try installing some other server only app on the VM and see if that gives the same error.
Have successfully installed Winsuite Enterprise Ed on a standalone box also running Windows 2000 Server?

Re: Winsuite and Virtual Pc
Well I used the same disc to install it on another server a month or so ago so I know the cd is ok. I will try installing something else and see if I get the same thing.
