PCL5 printer drivers v PCL6 printer drivers.
We have an issue with print manager plus mis-counting one of our older HP4600N's the advice we have is to upgrade the driver on our Win2003 print server to the latest PCL6 version.
Are there any disadvantages in doing this?

What OS are your clients? I found that a number of PCL6 drivers to be incredibly unreliable so stick to PCL5 as they work better on Win 7

Working for Ricoh helpdesk, PCL 5 is a lot more reliable, ive found PCL 6 very buggy across the board with ricoh,hp etc so again +1 for PCL 5
