One XP notebook with slow network browsing

I have an XP Pro sp2 notebook with very slow browsing between folders on the network and extremeley when using network applications.

Logon speed fine, Internet Fine, DNS looks ok, nsloookup works resolves machine name and ip. Same problem occurs with different users and if using wired or wireless connections from this notebook.

any ideas

I know it will sound like a cop-out here, but have you tried wiping it and starting from a fresh install?

I know it may seem like i caqnt fix a computer this way, but in those "odd" cases that you haven't the time to resolve, its a good way to do it [of course, unless you have a good idea what it is naturally hehe].
