    ie7

    i have just installed ie 7 on my work machine getting ready for mass deployment but how is that tab browsing is available at home but not at school ? am i missing something both home and work are xp pro sp2.

    Do you have the Google toolbar installed? iirc there was a bug in there somewhere which somehow broke the tabs.

    Have you looked in Active Directory:

    User Configuration/Windows Settings/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Internet Explorer: Turn off tabbed browsing?

    This may be set to enabled.

    yeah it was local policy, although nothing was set so i disabled it forced update bingo thanks for your help all.

    dont see any benefits in updating to IE7 yet. as they say if it aint broke, dont fix it

    i find IE7 to look and fell/use horrendous, especially as we have some children with vision problems.

    if i wanted mozilla i would have installed it , i didn't ask microsoft to make me a mozilla clone !
