A student has just come to me saying there is a folder in his documents that he cannot delete. He didnt create it - that is pretty obvious from the name, its a malicious insult by someone else
Thing is, I cant open it ('xxxx refers to a location that is unavailable') cannot delete it and cannot rename it. There is also no security tab when I right click so I cannot make myself the owner.
I would try and use CACLS or delete it from the command line, but when I try to type in the name, even in brackets, it cant be found. Its hard to even type the name, because its a whole sentance with double spaces and double full stops, and a full stop at the end of the folder name.
On any other machine I would try to reboot into safe mode and delete from there. However this is the server with all the kids documents on so that isnt an option.
I just dont know how they have done this
