    Lightbulb IE8 Problems

    HI

Please can anyone help. We have been having a few machines that appear to have had ie8 broken recently and it will open but will not get onto the internet for anyone and we have had to reinstall ie8 to get it to work. I have checked the proxy settings and they are in but ie in well and truely broken. Has anyone else had this problem.

It can happen. Generally speaking where possible it's recommended to re-image the whole machine.

Various toolbars can break IE8, but most of the time it's missing or unregistered DLLs which are usually the source of the problem.

As Michael said, these things tend to happen and you'll waste more of your time time trying to figure it out when imaging the machine will take you less time and gives you a nice clean slate. I think he's hit the nail on the head.

I find resetting Internet explorer to its default settings can sometimes fix issues in i.e etc. But to be honest prob best to reinstall the computer if u have the image
