You know how on some days you can't even get a HP printer connected via a parallel lead to print out a test page.....

But on Tues - I set up my first computer from 1st Technologies using another systems XP disc ...

Got the drivers loaded via USB stick and got it fully up and running...

Installed remote software and left a Win98 CD in drive and then from my other schools/home...

Installed VMServer - created Win98 VM- created 2nd drive - copied whole drive from existing real Win98 machine (took 3 attempts before I got the sequence of fdisk/formating/setting active partitions right ops: )...

Restarted Win98VM - it found all drivers (Don't you just love a proper OS :P ) and ...

Voila - cloned VM copy of existing old Win98 class setup with all the old progs available to use

Its just shows - technology does work (sometimes )

Simon
PS I realise I'm obviously heading for a big big fall somewhere else today
