    converting vhs

some depts have loads of vhs tapes that they want converting into dvds or avi files.

my 1st question is , Is any one else on here doing this and what do they use to do it.

2nd question is. I know you can buy dvd recorders with built in vhs so you can convert that way. But is there a box that will convert vhs to an AVI file in a very simple way that maybe teachers could do it?
