Scheduled Tasks Manager crashing
Hello, i am running an older machine to enable me to execute some old legacy programs/systems that are on the way to be replaced. Im running XP V2002 SP2. I have an odd situation where occasionally the scheduled task process just stops working. In most situations what this means is that after restart, I have to change the passwords (yes, i know, but I cannot change this at this time) back to something as the password file becomes corrupted. Here are some observations:
- Restarting weekly does prolong the problem from happening
- Once the passwords didnt need changing
- long weekends will almost guarantee this problem will occur
Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me things to consider?
Now sometimes

Have you checked for a *.dmp file being on the PC. If it's a BSOD that should tell you pretty accurately where the issue is coming from.
Anything in the event log when this happens?
You could try doing an SFC /scannow from the command line to see if that fixes anything.

there is no BSOD. The event log just says scheduled task is down. The PC becomes unresponsive to RDC.
