    iis5 to iss6 .asp website

    guys im trying to swap our .asp intranet server to iis6 on w2003 and its driving me nuts
    im sure im missing something simple but even though i have enabled asp, it will only show asp files in the main directory if i go down into a folder and try to view the asp files, explorer just says it cant show file.
    do all folders on the website have to be set up as applications or something
    i admit im a noob with iis6,

    Have you enabled scripting on the site and/or virtual directory they're contained in?

    yes and the asp pages in the main directory work fine but as soon as you go into a folder, asp pages stop working.
    it seems as if it does not carry the scripting info to any folders in the hierarchy.
    because i have a "spare" server i have rebuilt it twice in case its something i didnt do right but i think this behavoiur is by default,
    been pulling my hair out over it all week ops:

    finally found my problem
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/226474
    seems some of my .asp pages had links to include other asp pages as below

    <include ../etc.ext>
    in iis6 microsoft Disallowed Parent Path, there is a tick box very well hidden to reenable them again :?
    instead of iis telling me of the problem it just refused to show the webpage at all
