Not directly seen those two documents but nothing I didn't know already. Nice to have it in black and white though - thanks.

Another member of this forum pointed those out to me a few weeks ago when I asked about OWA. I sent them to Ramesys to ask for clarification as they wanted to charge me a huge amount of money for OWA. They said they'd never seen them but would get onto MS to ask.....weeks have passed with no reply, and you've just reminded me to chase them up. Thanks![]()
Isn't OWA just a part of exchange? I didn't realise it had to be bought seperately, in fact I'm sure it doesn't.
I believe you need to purchase the external connector license (pre-agreement) if people outside of your organisation need to access your OWA, in a school context this could be alumni, govenors, parents etc. i.e. people not directly employed by the school or on roll. Somebody correct me if i'm wrong please.Originally Posted by tscnmuk
No that sounds about right, we only use OWA internally so that shouldn't be a problem should it?
I hope not, and with this agreement in place it doesnt matter anyway, right?Originally Posted by tscnmuk
You're not the only one!Originally Posted by Lee_K_81
But like you say, as far as that agreement reads we should be alright.

The ECL is required for anybody that isn't already licensed - i.e. any user that doesn't have a 'per user' license or any device without a 'per device' license.Originally Posted by Lee_K_81
Just to add to my post above, Ramesys quoted a couple of weeks ago for 100 users (teachers and staff) around 12 grand. They are not aware of these letters....it would be interesting to know how many other schools have paid this extortionate amount for OWA if it really is free..... 8O
