We are moving over from Group Call to BulkSMS, so I am getting this ready on a few office staff PCs.
Now am I asking too much when it comes to having an element of control over an application like this as when the user / users logon BAM !! It Auto starts. Not sure about others but I HATE applications auto starting without asking you first when you install them.
I've dropped an E-mail to the people involved asking them to consider it in the future as an option. [ The prog sits in the system tray taking up just over 20 meg ]
As a work around I am knocking up a quick script which will kill it when it auto starts... [ I thought I could find it in the registry but no..... ]
I did laugh at the responce from the helpdesk of:
it will still be available for your convenience in the system tray.
My convenience ? Don't you mean yours ???![]()

Have you checked the Startup tab of MSConfig.exe to see where it starts at?
Thats where I found it in the end, the common startup folder. A quick script to delete that then......
