how to disable the messenger service from the server

We have had problems with kids gettings hold of a cmd promt and then doing net send.

Is there a policy that will turn the service off on all work stations kids are logged into?

It should be turned off by default on XP SP2...what client OS are you using?

I dont know of a policy specifically but a startup batch file of 'net stop messenger' will do the trick

You can also disable the service remotely as well using the sc command.
