    II7.5 / SQL 2008

    Hi,

Just got Eclipse .net installed running on IIS 7.5 and SQL 2008.

Now I don't know that much about either of these, enough to get things up and running but the book ends there. Is there anything I should be aware of performance and security wise?

I appreciate that you could probably talk all day about both things but anything which is of major importance will help me to make sure things run smoothly.

    Thanks in advance!

I've always found permissions in IIS the most important thing to getting it working. Make sure the web user has sufficient access right to the inetpub folder, set this in the IIS control panel and NTFS.

It's not a case of it not working. Just, I want to be sure that 'out of the box' there's nothing I should disable right away which could act as a vulnerability.

IIS can be out the box if your using something basic for Eclipse.net. What I did do though is not use the Default Web Site and created a new Eclipse site.
It's quite weird ... I haven't touched the server for a while and it seems to be swimming along *touch wood* with the most minimal of config.
