    Audacity 1.3.12 MSI installer?

    Does anyone have one?

We've been running 1.2.something on windows 7 and while it seemed fine to begin with there is an intermittent issue im hoping is fixed with the beta version, not going to go and faff about installing it so would prefer an MSI if anyone has one?

I couldnt find one. I ended up using a startup script. If you do happen to find one do let me know though

    Thanks

I always find it easier to install Audacity using the portable apps version - install and set it up on one machine and then copy whole install folder to other machines using a script.

I don't know how this approach would work for you big boys and girls with domains/GPO etc but it might work for you as well

    regards

It will work. It could also just put the portable app in a share and sending out the shortcuts. But personally i would rather have local installs to save on network traffic.

So repackage it, setup the portable apps version and have it ready, use something like Winstall LE. Do a before capture, copy the folder to the machine, do an after capture and let it make an MSI, clean it up by removing reg entries then you should have something deployable.
