    XCOPY / Robocopy Copy help

    Hi,
Quick Question: Is it possible to copy a folder and file and its permissions?

We have a folder full of template forms and we need one per person - and instead of setting up 1000 folder permissions - is there a way to do this?

    Any feedback is brilliant!

    Regards
    - Stuart

    Check this Robocopy

What you need is /COPY:datsou which copies everything about the files/folders. Doesn't work on non-NTFS partitions obviously.

if you use xcopy with the /o switch i think it copies the permissions. failing that at command prompt type xcopy /? and it'll tell you all the switches that are available.
