    Reset attributes

I've got a few files on a desktop that don't seem to have any security attributes. Every time I try to delete them it says access denied.

How do I reset the security on them so I can delete them as administrator?

On the directory they are in take ownership of all files in the structure below.

Once that is done you should be able to reset the permissions the same way.

At least I hope that helps.

None of that worked, but it seams like I had a hard disk corruption. Probably something to do with it being an SSD drive and losing power.

    Running chkdsk /f worked
