Anyone have Site@School up and running under this configuration?
http://siteatschool.sourceforge.net/
Looks like just what I was looking for for a basic intranet / info system for here, but really struggling to get it going - throwing a million errors on the pages when running the setup wizard, not sure if I've borked the MySQL install or missing something in PHP etc...
Alternatively, anyone have any suggestions for a nice little roll your own simple intranet solution that's ASP/IIS based?

I know your after WIMP but a LAMP is easy with Ubuntu. Just download the server ISO and on the first menu select LAMP install. Easy peasy.
I have a WIMP install as well which I did in seperate parts but didnt get any problems in particular.

you also need to register PHP in the windows environment variables, and you have to copy php_mysql.dll ( i think) which is found in the ext folder under where u extraced php and copy that into windows>system32 dir

I found that installing a Fedora server, then using webmin to administer it was easy. Everything just worked as soon as you "turned it on"
