    Useful AV Tool - rkill

    Check out
RKill - What it does and What it Doesn't - A brief introduction to the program

for a tool whoes job it is is to kill running malware processes so that you can then run your malaware removal tools.

Just trying it out on a laptop infected with "Peak Protection 2010".

But of course it itself may be just an uber-malaware prog - who can tell nowadays

Have used this before with a machine that wouldn't allow malwarebytes to install and it worked for me.

Well - got nowhere so far - ran rkill then ran MBAM found loads of bad stuff -rebooted and still got the PEak Protection "Welcome" screen

Trying a right-click "max kill settings" sophos but since it was the one that let it through in the first place - I'm not placing too much hope in that one
