    Same here with 4 PCs. We dual boot them with XP with the W98 pretty much crippled.

    I had a right moan at the SENCO the other month because she bought 3 new SuccessMaker licences but for W98 not XP :twisted:. I was a bit surprised you could still get them. When asked why she did this since she has XP boxes in the room she replied "Well I know this version". Gaaaaahh!!

    Some very lucky people out there!

    Our Curriculum is NT4 and Win98 and has been for 6 years and will be for another 2 years min.

    I'm not sure how schools can justify (not blaming the techs - if schools don't want to spend they don't!) using a system that is unsupported with no security updates when they are dealing with confidential data and other stuff covered by the Data protection act. Does your MIS still support NT and 98?

    Admin system is Win2000pro and a separate domain, MIS - Phoenix Gold. Everything is looked after by me ICT Technician (or network Manager on the cheap) SMT not ICT literate but hey they run the school. We have 600+ students 80+ staff and I just get by, sticky plaster comes to mind!

    Maybe people can visit us to see how it was!!!
