NTP to keep my Ruckus inline

I came back from hols to find time completely out on my ZoneDirector.

It can be set to use NTP.

In my simple world, i'd like it to follow the w2k3 server time like everything else (i use a net time \\server2 bat file in each computer startup script for them).

    Suggestions please

A windows DC is an NTP server, just point the director at it and you should be done

Its not operating as a DC - just as file server - will that make any diff?

    Si
PS Just tried it - it accepted the server ip address but didn't sync to same time.

Does the server allow NTP requests through its firewall, it may be on but firewalled. If not I think you can still switch it on by using a few reg keys:
How to Configure Windows Server as a Ntp Server

You can also make an XP machine act as a time server with a reg key switch if you want:
Enable NTP Time Server at Registry Guide for Windows

Edit: Heres the MS guide on the tools and settings for its time service app

I've been using Tardis for many years HC Mingham-Smith Ltd.

You do need an authoritative source to sync with ideally though (although not normally an issue).
