7th September 2010, 11:06 AM #1 Quicken - finance software
It seems our wonderful finance ladies threw out the discs for quicken, it was a very very old version like 2000 or 2002..... we've upgraded them all to windows 7, and they neglected to tell us about tis little gem.
Now we still have the backups from it, we've obviously purchased it in the past, would it be against the rules for me to ask if anyone has this lovely software and could sort me out a copy/download? I'm not exactly sure how the rules work on things like this, so i appologise in advance if it does turn out to be against the rules
*gets on hands and knees and begs for help*

7th September 2010, 10:25 PM #2 Can I give you bad news, I've never did get Quicken of that age working on W7, I had a copy of Quicken 2002 and it didn't play on W7 when I tried it during Beta stages of W7, and as Quicken no longer exists this side of the pond Intuit were not interested so you could be struggling. Are you sure its not Quickbooks which is better and more supported?

8th September 2010, 12:51 AM #3 Nope definitely quicken
They moved over to using tucasi school cash office, but it didn't do petty cash (or didn't do it how they wanted, something like that) so they kept quicken which had been around since before the current finance office staff (more than 5 years thats for sure) just to use for petty cash, we still have the backups for it on a pen drive, but no software, even if i could get ahold of 2002 to put in a windows XP laptop to sit next to the one finance staff that use it that'd be good until we can get ourselves sorted with something new, but it's finding the software which is a huge issue now!
