robocopy is dead easy to use from the command line
Right, depends on your SAN/NAS, if you want to do a live migration, do
and just leave it running
robocopy source destination /MIR
This will mirror the share you are moving, once it's synched you can point your users to the new location and when happy everyone is across stop robocopy.
If you don't want to do it live, do:
some NAS/SAN don't like the NTFS ACL being copied across, in that case:
robocopy source destination /E /ZB /COPYALL /DCOPY:T
If someone updates a file, on the two above, just run it again and it will copy across any updated or new files.
robocopy source destination /E /ZB /COPY:DATO /DCOPY:T
