    pdf file editting

    anyideas of any free software to edit pdf files convert to pdf not problem with numrious prunters and open office.

    But got some pdf files with data in that need to get out and put in word document but gots lots of formating so cant just copy and paste

    you can use ghostscript to convert pdfs to a more useful format. It only runs on Linux though.

    On windows your stuck with paying Adobe money.

    yes, but you also need the wrapper script pdf2ps.

    Its a bash shell script so I expect it would work if you installed Cygwin too.

    silly question has anyone tried outting cygwin installation into msi using wininstall or something..

    There's certainly been discussions about it on the mailing list. Cygwin doesn't do anything wierd. You should be able to make a working MSI for a paticular combination of tools quite easily.
