Salamander User Account Creation

Hi Guys,

Is anyone using this for user account management?

It looks good but i'd like to know if the SIMS synch works reliably?

Hi Jed,

We use Salamander here and the sync with Sims.net works very well. It's scheduled to run each night and sure enough it does.

However, the problem (which is a user issue not the software) is that for staff users they need to have a contract in and a start date (which has already occurred) in order for Salamander to create their user account. Similarly with students, the student much have a start date which has expired in order for their user account to be created.

Other than that it's great, you can assign to OU's based on fields in sims.net, email accounts can be created etc etc it's been a godsend here :-)
