Just had a problem with the PC at home - running XP SP2 - hope it's not cheating to ask for help here.
I have just run A-squared and it found trojan.win32.patched.i
I removed it and then rebooted in Safe Mode.
It found 2 more occurrences of the same trojan. I then ran AdAware SE Personal and removed some Cookies, SpyBot (found nothing) and X-Cleaner (free) which also found nothing.
I then rebooted into Safe Mode and ran A-Squared again. It found 1 occurrence of the same trojan
Can anyone recommend a Trojan remover that can blitz this please?

Of course it isn't cheating posting this here
You did ensure that you cleared the System Restore data in Windows? It will just keep coming back otherwise.

Aaaaaaargh!
It's been a long day! Catching up after a day out of the office at BETT on Friday. Will clear System Restore and try again. Everyone seems to think I've been out on some sort of jolly!
Thanks.

System restore off. Boot in safe mode. Ran A-squared, removed trojan. Reboot in safe mode. Trojan still there
It says
trojan.win32.patched.i
is in c:\system32\winlogon.exe

Found this: http://forum.emsisoft.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=1757
It's a false positive.
Can't help it, I'm always more protective of my PC than anyone else's. i hate to think that something's got past the defences!
