Hi all, as we use more and more video at school, I would like us to have an internal style youtube site. Posting videos to groups, class sections etc.
I'm fairly experienced at setting up websites and using php, although am not a *nix man (I am a man, though).
Anyone have any free suggestions of software that will enable me to do this, which I could run on a spare machine at school? It only needs internal access for the moment.
Thanks in advance!

Should do the job.
Was going to set that up in my school, but just never had the time.

We have used Microsoft media services in the past and this required WMV but I would like to setup an internal youtube site now the technology has improved.

19th May 2010, 04:03 PM #7 KalturaCE- need to run a linux box (possibly virualised) and I'd strongly recommend using XAMPP (with production security settings) as recommended having tried to do it the hard way myself. Beyond that caveat it is simply excellent and will allow you to upload from a range of formats.
