6th May 2010, 09:50 AM #2 Microsoft sync is a good one, built into XP and beyond, and MS Groove (as a part of the office 2003 onwards packages) is also quite good

6th May 2010, 09:54 AM #3 I do mine by using the one built into shell tool FileMenuTools, but that may be overkill for your user, who may not need any of the other functions. I've also tried Allway Synch, and here's a few more suggestions.

Are you using 2.1? there was an issue with 2.0 and network shares but 2.1 fixed that. Not sure if the problem was permissions related though.

I haven't come across any problems like that.
Issues with 2.0 were to do with syncing with NAS storage, FAT partitions, sharepoint and an issue with the Echo option.
