Rep Power: 11 | Please tell me I don't need to set up a full Windows PKI or buy a ridiculously expensive certificate... |

Rep Power: 8 | Funnily enough , I just finished setting up our Bursars Tytan phone/PDA thing so it would access our outlook web access server while she is down in the antipodes for 6 weeks. I created a ss certificate myself using a guide that I found by googling, sadly I didnt bother to bookmark it. Was pretty straightforward though and took less than an hour if I remember correctly |

Rep Power: 10 | When I did this the web server cert was the easy bit. The trickier bits were: a) A clunky workaround for single Exchange server (no FE-BE) where you had to fiddle with the Exchange Web-folders via IISM. b) Getting the cert's CA on a variety of gizmos running a variety of Windows Mobile version. Microsoft do have emulators for the last few versions which was very helpful. |
