Silently Installing Google Sketchup 7
Hi guys
I am trying to get google sketchup to install silently onto our machines. I am currently testing it on my machine.
I can get it to install easy enough through a bat file but that means I have to be at the machine to press next, which is time consuming.
Has anyone managed to get a script running where they can just leave it to do its business so to speak.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

6th April 2010, 12:48 PM #2 Nice and easy this one.
Download and install 7Zip.
You can then use that the open the Sketchup 7 installation exectuable.
Inside you will find an MSi file.
You can run this silently using "msiexec -i "[shared location of MSi file]\GoogleSketchUp7.msi" /qn"

Because I've standardised my methods and I find in most cases I need the extra flexibility I get from scripting using PSEXEC.
