.NET Errors when accessing Shared Drives

Having a little bit of an emergency at the moment.

All over the school, different users and computers are experiencing very odd behaviour when accessing shared drives.

When clicking on the icon in my computer, explorer stalls for a few seconds, sometimes longer and then an error springs up as per the screenshot.

Anyone had this before? It's starting to become a big problem.

Delprofing seems to solve this temporarily but I'd rather know the cause...

check what .net is registered and p[ossibly re-register .net through cmd?
