Does anyone know a way to disable googles seach suggestions drop down box - its suggesting "rude searches" according to the teachers

You can turn off search suggestions in the google search settings.

There is a URL you can block that will block it. I did have it noted but cant find the note.

I block google suggest by adding clients1.google* in to our block list. Works a treat. Well until google undoubtedly change something.

I've redirected the Intranet link to:

www.google.co.uk/webhp?complete=0&hl=en

...since this is the main way people access it. That URL doesn't prompt you with mindless suggestions.
