ok i got a question i need to create a login that does nothing on it thats the easy bit i can do that but what i do need is a way that when it is logged into it opens a browser goes to one website with no access to address bar or buttons i hope you can help it just i have stopped teachers logging on students to more than one machine and they wont do it. so n breif best way to create a locked down account which opens a website with no toolbars and take away the ability to readd the toolbars. just for intrest this is for new online testing they have got to be pre logged in as they log into the tests. It would be even better to take away the ability to close the brouser as well.

You want a kiosk mode with internet explorer or another program set as the default shell. Those are the kinds of things you want to be doing a search on.

Running the following command will put IE into kiosk mode (eg. Fullscreen, no status bar, no toolbar, nothing)
You could craft a (batch/vb) script that will loop this if IE crashes or someone hits Alt+F4.

Or if you want a permanent solution you could try a product such as Sitekiosk - www.sitekiosk.de its a very good program, I highly recomend it.

You can enable kiosk mode and remove the toolbars/buttons using group policy.
If you then set IE as the shell (also possible via GPO), if the luser closes the browser it will log them off

We use AB Tutor to lock down PCs to only run one app. Can do the same with websites too (all apps off too) - lock down to <bbc bitesize>/<mock exam> for examlpe then load that page in the brower for all those PCs from the teachers desk.
