Hi
I was wondering if any of you have been able to get rid of the atattched window?
We have done on our mandatory profile, but on our roaming profile it comes up. Any way to stop it coming up?
Thanks,

Pre-seed it by taking the settings from the mandatory profile and merging them into the current user's profile in a login script. Works best if everything is neatly in the registry, but putting files into the right place can work too.

Thanks powdarrmonkey. Instead, I downloaded this oxt (Deactivating the OpenOffice.org Registration Wizard - OpenOffice.org Wiki) then put the following in a batch script, put it as user logon and it works
Code:echo yes | "%ProgramFiles%\OpenOffice.org 3\program\unopkg.com" add --shared "\\flitwick\its$\OpenOfficeWelcomeScreen\DisableFirstStartWzd_ooo32.oxt"
If you are using a shared start menu then you can modify all the shortcuts and addto them, that way you will catch which ever application a user uses first. This would work if you have already rolled out OpenOffice to all your desktops and don't want to hit each machine again.Code:-nofirststartwizard

This might come in handy too -
Configuring Options in Open Office
A little something I wrote a few years ago!
It might need updating, It's on my list to do, but I'm yet to upgrade ooo to version 3.
I've found that bypassing the first run wizard causes version2 to slow down on bootup - You can change another xml file to tell it that it's already been run. I can't remeber the path but I'll look it up in the morning

use libre office
if you use mandatory profiles it can be when every use gets it everytime
