What is this strange entry in Microsoft Windows Network?

So I browse to My Network Places -> Entire Network -> Microsoft Windows Network

and I see my domain listed PLUS another called "Workgroup"...?

In workgroup are the following entries:

    Balcarras-simsg
    Brne02b6d
    Brne02b48
    Brne51240
    Ep08c94e
    EPbac6a7
    Hpbalc
    Oem-9n19wpo230x

    ???

What are these and where did they come from?

    Many thanks for your response...

They are just machines that may not be on your domain normally 3rd party hardware that has come in but did not need to be on the domain and likewise with printed.

Looks like a group of devices on your network that are part of the default workgroup. I think sometimes network printers can appear in this way too.

Just checked - our XPe thin client appears in the default workgroup too along with all our network printers, cd server and clipbank server.
