Windows 2000 domain - disable automatic updates

Morning folks, I've discovered that we need to disable automatic updates on one of our old domains temporarily. I'm unable to find a group policy in Server 2000 SP4 that covers this, any ideas?

I'd like to keep it to group policy as once our developers get a bug fixed I want to turn it back on and roll out IE8, but until then it has to be turned off!

Done this with a logon script using the SC command for XP clients.
