    Google Earth package

Has anyone successfully packaged Google Earth and deployed with GP? I've been asked to install it on multiple PC's. I can see people have tried but the comments look like it wasn't 100% sucessfull.

Michael from Logistix has created a package. Not tried it myself, but you can download it here

I deployed version 5 using pretty much the method you linked to (i.e. using the Google MSI). Made a few alterations with a transform to suppress some shortcuts and disable auto-updates, but there was no special trick to it, it installed fine.

I've also done this with version 5 - and it worked perfectly!

I have indeed created a package with the latest Google Earth and it deploys no problems. I edited the MSI as there was a language compatibility issue Active Directory didn't like, but it does deploy absolutely fine now

Nice one i'll take a peep

Does it keep all of the data in the local profile rather than roaming?

It does store data in the roaming profile, but you're talking around 30KB worth of data. I think it's more to do with user preferences than anything else.
