Are you using the rule function in outlook or setting a redirect in AD or the management consoler?

Using the rule, which applies to all recieved emails and redirect to people or DL and added my external email address.

Are you leaving outlook running during your testing because those rules only run when outlook is open?

yes i am leaving it running, but i think i will need to do some configuration on the AD so when my outlook is closed it still redirects the emails while keeping a copy in outlook inbox as well.

Youll be better to set it in AD then, youll need to create a contact for your external mail box and then go into delivery options in AD and set up to forward mail to your contact and leave a copy in the mailbox.

    THanks

SO if on your exchange server you go into AD, you should be able to right click the account that you want the mail redirected from, select properties and delivery options...

Its on one of the exchange tabs in the ad management tools (assuming you have the exchange management tools installed as well)
