Thumbs up Logistix Update Packs Feb'10

    Hello all,

Itís that patching time of the month again! For your reference, most update packs now come in smaller WinRAR or alternatively ZIP format. This allows for better compression, but also allows technicians on slower internet connections to download multiple, smaller files rather than single larger files.

To download the files, please navigate to logistixonline.com and click on 'File Library'. The rest is self explanatory and all files come with instructions and dates when files were published

    The following updates are available:

Logistix Google Earth 5.1 MSI (Last Updated January 10)
Special thanks to garethedmondson for his contributions. Google Earth 5.1 now works correctly deploying with Active Directory.

Logistix Office 2007 Compatibility (Last Updated October 09)

Logistix Plugins Plus (Updated February 10) Ė Contains Adobe Flash 10.0.42.34, Adobe Shockwave 11.5.6.606, Adobe Reader 9.3.0, Java 6 Update 18, Quicktime Alternative 3.01 and Real Alternative 2.01.

Logistix Windows XP SP3 Post Updates (Updated February 10) - Also contains Adobe Flash 10.0.42.34, Adobe Shockwave 11.5.6.606 + all hotfixes up to and including February 2010.

Logistix .NET Framework (Last Updated October 09)

Logistix Firefox 3.5.7 & 3.6 Lockdown (Last Updated January 10)
Special thanks to Arthur for his Firefox lockdown expertise!

I was just looking at this actually. Have there been any changes to the core program recently?

The Google Earth MSI itself I modified with Orca so it is now deployable with Active Directory. The issue was a language compatibility which is now fixed

If you mean Google Earth itself then no. The latest is still November 2009.

So Google haven't released anything new? I can't find the version numbers on their overly complex site.

Trying to work out what I do and don't need to update over the next few weeks.

If you do Help > About in Google Earth, the version should be 5.1.3533.1731.

Bump for those who missed it!

I forgot to mention, the February XP Pack and Plugins Pack (once extracted) come in a single extractable file. This is particularly handy for copying to and from memory sticks to update machines

    <Snippy and tweak as requested>

It would still be really nice to get the multi part files linked from the same page instead of 2 clicks through so a download manager could be used to select all 6 at once

Michael, did you get a moment to look at Sketchup and how easy this works? (Or doesn't work)

@OutToLunch - I've reported the error to the developers of the software. Would you mind amending your post? Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

@Edu-IT - GoogleSketchUp7.msi deploys absolutely fine with Active Directory when I tested it.
