Cool HP pavilion dv5133ea Sound Drivers

Hi everyone. Can you help please. I have a HP pavilion dv5133ea which I have just installed Windows 7 on. My problem is that HP do not support this operating system ans therefore have no sound. Everything else is fine. I have tried the usual, updated drivers, which says I have latest drivers installed. And yet I also have messages saying no audio driver installed. There must be a way round this, alternative driver for example?

I really don't want to go back to XP, but this is looking like my only option?

    Thanks

    Ann

    Have you tried this?

Had the same problem with my HP DV5000. On other forums I read that the "old" Windows XP driver might work on Windows 7. So I did the following:

    - I downloaded "double driver", a tool to export drivers
    - Exported the Conexant HD Audio Driver from my Windows XP partition (I have dual boot XP/Windows7) with double driver. Enable the option: include "Double Driver"
    - Removed the existing non-working driver from Windows 7
    - Imported the XP driver with "double driver" into Windows 7
    - The previous step failed (I don't know why), but after updating manually
(control panel - device manager - sound, audio and video controllers - Conexant HD Audio - tab driver - update driver) I now have sound!
Select software and drivers HP Pavilion dv5133ea Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

Given that you no longer have XP installed you could try this XP download from HP and see?
