    Netbook - Pre-auth issue

Got a Neo Netbook from Stone and I've just discovered that it's not wanting to play ball with pre-authentication to the WLAN so it won't authenticate and connect.

Anyone had one of these and can share some settings that might work...

My brain is fried so any input would be welcome...
Azurewave (RTL adapter) in the netbook and the XP wireless config in charge, with apparently no native utility included... if that helps...

    That'd be a no then...

Ah well... after considerable hair pulling I finally gave up on the pre-authentication and figured out the eventual issue stopping the machine from connecting as a LOCAL user was to create a separate wlan security policy for the netbook and stop it automatically using the logged in user account for authentication.

Once this has been removed and the user has put in their normal login when prompted it all works...

In case anyone else comes across this I'm using Stone Neo Netbooks with the RTL8187SE WLAN PCIE network adapters.

There is absolutely NO information on these drivers that doesn't relate to Linux so pre-authentication seems to be a no-go...

If anyone figures anything out in the future please post... Thx

Bit confused as you posted this in the windows forum but you are reffering to if anyone knows about linux pre authentication ( guessing that would be geoff or someone more linux inclined )

So is this a windows or a linux issue ?

Hmm... yeah can understand confusion so to clarify...

WinXP on Netbooks... Only information available relating to the WLAN chipset is Linux based which in this instance is useless because I'm using WinXP...

Hope that sorts the question marks...
