    Remote install of device drivers

    Has anyone found a reliable way to install device drivers (i.e with .inf file) to remote machines?

    I have some USB devices that require drivers, and 350 or so PCs to install them on. I looked at devcon but that only offers the install option for local PCs.

    Freaky! I was working on something this morning and this too is my stumbling block.

    I'll had a look at that thread thanks, I've used Orca before but never to install driver MSIs

    If you can do it with devcon then why not just put that in a machine startup script? The only tricky thing is that you only want it to run once but that can be done by either setting a registry value or writing a flag file to say "driver installed":
    Code:
    if exist %windir%\usb_driver1_installed goto end
    \\server\share\devcon <etc> <etc>
    echo installed > %windir%\usb_driver1_installed
    :end
