    Profile Settings for the Visually Impaired

    Hi,

    Wondering if anyones got any ideas about this,

    Ive been given a note from Special Needs asking if a new lad who has trouble seeing can have the following:

    Personal profile needs to be set-up on the system so he can just log on and have the correct settings:

    Font = Arial
    Size = 32
    Background = Light Grey

    I was just wondering if anyone has done this through GPO or through his roaming profile?

    Thanks all!

    I would say setup him up with a mandatory with those settings

    Make the settings in an unrestricted OU, otherwise im gussing you will not be able to make the required changes. Once you uploaded the profile to the sever and renamed it to MAN, the stick it into folder the user was into before, and he will get the restrictions again, but with your required changes

    Think that would work

    We used to give all visually impaired students a roaming profile - they could then get the system set up the way they wanted it.

    Occasionally, the profile will get messed up and a new one has to be created but it's not a huge deal. If most of your students have a mandatory profile you just copy that and convert to a roaming profile.
