This is prob going to be a simple one for you... but ive just created a test win 2003 domain.... and i want to create a user with the same access rights as the administrator account.....
Every time i log onto the client with a user which is a memeber of the administrators group and i want to install some software..... its telling me that i need to log onto the network with administrative rights....

have you made them a member of the Domain Admin group as well as the administrators group. I usually set the domain admin group as the default group then remove the domain user group.
if you're still stuck, rh click on your administrator account and click copy. This will set up a new user with the same rights as the administrator.

Just a small nugget...
You can check the existing administrator accounts "member of" tab to see what it's a.. erm.. well.. member of and that should give you some idea of what you need to equal the main server admin.
Well worth getting a copy of Mark Minasi's Mastering Windows Server 2003 back killing guide.. Heavy but definitely worth it.
