At the moment pupils need to show how to add/open attachments from email, we have a problem with Yahoo that when McAfee has scanned the file, clicking on the download attachment does not do anything.
I have tested as admin, and it works fine, so my problem seems to be either a GP policy I might have set or an ISA problem.
Any ideas where I might look first?

Clients are
XP SP3 + IE8
ISA is 2006
Sophos for virus protection, been looking through GP and have the file download setting enabled, its strange, its either a GP I have set or a permissions issue am guessing.

I had a problem like this. Try KB 935882 in technet. You have to request a patch and they will send you a link.
Worked for me!

26th November 2009, 01:23 PM #4 Thanks for the information, but if I log in via an admin user downloading of attachments works fine, (so ISA is working fine no?) but as a limited user (pupil) it doesn't so am guessing its down to my GP's on pupils.
When I get five mins, I will go through group policy, but I will get the patch and see if that works as well.
thanks.

Did you also check the ISA server for any rules which allow admin to download files, but disallow download for normal users?

We block stuff like exe, bat etc but everything else is fine.
Hotmail works fine, I also switched to the Yahoo Mail Classic and it does the same.
A popup appears saying Norton (I said McAfee at first I was wrong) has scanned the file for viruses and then the download link appears, but after that nothing happens, am certain its a GP policy blocking it but sure which one, as other sites e.g. Hotmail works fine.
Strange one!!!
