Hiya all
One of our servers was getting very low on space on the 'C' drive. We scrutinsed it and managed to free up enough space to put us in a position of relative safety. However, there is a 6gb SQL database file named "Insight_v50_0_11428971_log.LDF" that we want to move to the 'E' drive. Decided to remove the HP insight manager, hoping that this would allow us to at least move this file to the alternative location, allowing us then to reinstall the insight manager to an alternative location. A reboot was performed, but this file is still 'locked'.
Any ideas as to how we can move this file? Any other applications that may be locking it?
Thanks for any help

4th November 2009, 10:59 AM #3 LDF is a log file I think but if you stop the SQL Server on that machine you'll be able to move it however that database will probably complain bitterly lol best way of clearing it would be to go into the SQL manager and run a backup on the MDF related database this should then clear the log file down.

And yet its definately there!
