Hi All,
I happily added an adm file to my Server 2008 domain group policies to redirect users favorites and cookies.
I have pointed their faves to within the home drive e.g. h:\favorites and I did the same for cookies e.g. h:\cookies.
My problem is that when the users log off they get an error along the lines of "You do not have permission to save cookies\index.dat"
Can someone suggest where I might need to change permissions to fix this?
Thanks

20th October 2009, 09:35 AM #2 Redirected cokkies permissions error? Oo-err missus - leave my cokkies alone!
I would imagine that the permissions should be set on the folder/share that H: maps to.

Both the system and the students group have full access to the folder?
Could it be permissions on the share?

20th October 2009, 11:09 AM #4 Usually you do Full Control at share-level, and then set NTFS security at folder/filesystem level to lock it down as to who can do what.

My system is set up with full in permissions and then limited in shares.
Anyone think I need to swap this around?

I would think so yes. As webman says:
