Hey all
Is there anyway to stop kids running .exe or programs from their usb keys... they seem to have found that roms now work within school. Is there anything in group policy that needs to be configured?
Thanks
Tim
This has been mentioned on here in the past...I'm sure if you have a poke around you will find something.
I will also have a look around to and post if i find anything but i seem to remember something about it.
A combination of a software restriction policy and that program that forces USB keys to be assigned particular letters would be the most foolproof method.
Either that or set up a software restriction policy which only lets users execute programs in the Program Files directory and others which hold legitimate programs.
would that be creating a path rule in GP.
Antiexe from Faronics Software will do it, if you dont mind a pay solution
nah. im sure you can do it in Gp
you can do it in gp http://www.windowsnetworking.com/art...-Policies.html

You might want to consider using the forums search functionality in future.
